Adrian Peterson will definitely have more than 2000 rushing yards this year

That only works out to 125 yards per game. What do you think?

Minnesota Wins!! (but really shoulda lost)...

If the Vikes play like they did last week - an excellent 1st half (with some exceptions), and a defense that keeps them in games they shoulda been smoked in, they just might pull off a win against a stronger team, like the Bucs.

Watch for big plays - A. Peterson in a couple runaway TD's (yeah, that's a stretch), and the Minn D scoring as well. Steady play by Gus and his receivers and you've eked out another win.

after the last game...

I guess this game could go either way, I'm hoping the vikes win but you never know
when we play our division.

whew!!!!!

I thought we were going to get smoked by the saints and was worried about yet another loss.
So I had errands to do and got home in time to watch the 2nd quarter. Imagine my surprise when
I turned on the game and saw that we were winning. It quickly became apparent after half time that
the magic was gone especially after the Bush runback for a TD, So I turned the game....I woke up this
morning and was thrilled to see that we had won....SURPRISE,SURPRISE, SURPRISE.

I did not get to see the game but considering the score what did I really miss?

about time....

I did not get to see the game, it was not televised here. I'm guessing it was a good game and it's about time that we won one...

New Version of the Same Old Team

2008 started off much like 2007 ended for the Vikings. T Jack with a horrific turnover that leads to another loss. It just goes to show how important the QB position is. Maybe the most important posistion in all of sports. The Viking spent boatlaods of money in the offseason to make a run at the Super Bowl. It appears that that they should have spent it on a QB. I am also mystified by the gameplan that Childress had. If he to scale it back for Jackson, then Jackson needs to spend more time studying. If that wasn't scaled back, I would like to have Chili introduced to a real gameplan. Perhaps a couple of high school coaches could lend him thier paybooks. That was as painful to watch as last year. No creativity or misdirection. If this is the West Coast Offense that made Walsh famous, it needs to be retired. A final thought on Childress. He claims to have brought this 'Culture of Accountablility' to the organization, but the Vikings are consistently one of the most penalized teams in the league. I can deal with the physical errors like holding, but most of the penalties are false starts and off sides. Those stem from a lack of discipline. All in all, the 2008 Vikings so far appear to be the Vikings of 2007, just paid a little better.

first game of the season

First, is there a possibility of a Favre clone? I thought things were going to go better this year without Favre but I was wrong. Looks like they found Brett jr and he looked good last night. First quarter started off okay and then it all fell apart like it does...I hope they learn from their mistakes and for gods sake someone tell Tavarious that he cannot throw long balls, stick to the short balls....

what else can we say?

Let's just get the real season going.......
